Le Weekend De Chanel

Chanel Le Weekend
Price: P5,450 (50ml)
Available: Rustan's

Chanel Le Weekend is a part of trinity of Chanel serums; Le Jour, La Nuit et Le Weekend.

internet stock photo
Le Jour is to be used every morning, La Nuit at night, and Le Weekend as the name sugest, every weekend. Since I have my routine of moisturizers, and the fact that I don't want to break the bank with the 3 purchase, I got me a Chanel Le Weekend. It is supposed to be used on weekends. But my weekend falls on any two days of the week. Hey, no one's checking anyway haha!

Le weekend should not be used near the eye area and must be used as a single serum. No other serum but this on your weekend. However, this product gave me a few breakouts on the first few weeks. But I gave it another month for a chance and surprisingly, no more breakouts! It left my skin so soft to the touch and looked renewed in the morning. I even sneaked in a few use on some days. When I use Le weekend, I don't have the feel to put on any make up. I get a natural glow.

Le weekend is milky, I use two pumps every time, which leave my skin silky.

Chanel Le Weekend bottle is understated but is beautiful.
Designed to be displayed and not hidden away.

So, with a hefty price tag, would I buy it again? Yes, coz #cocomademedoit !

And if you could splurge, this is one product to try, or at least ask a sample first before buying. :) :)

Thanks for dropping by, loves!

'Til then!

XO :)

Clinique Take The Day Off Make Up Remover

Clinique
take the day off
make up remover
for lids, lashes &lips

Price:         P1,300 for a 125 ml bottle
Available: Rustans
                 Clinique SM Mall of Asia

Dissolves and "lifts away: long-wearing make up, even waterproof mascara.
Non-irritating, non-stinging.

I got this free from a generous friend who would give me
imported 'abubot' from make up such as lipstick,
lip gloss, eye shadow; the likes..to pants, shirts, G's shoes and bags.
Such a generous friend! I thank thee!

I've been a Clinique fan for quite a while, they have a marvelous moisturizer,
which I will review on the next posts.
And this one product got another vote for me.
It definitely does what it says.
I take my make up off effortlessly, especially the stubborn mascara.

(Which by the way, I don't use often. I'd buy a mascara,
and would use it a few times and forget about it, only to discover it's all dried up, ugh!)
What I do when I use this to remove my mascara:

1. Shake the bottle ('coz it says so hehe)
2. Soak a cotton pad (it doens't take much product to do so).
3. Close eyes and hold the cotton pad for 20 seconds.
4. Move the cotton pad on your lashes, repeat on the other eye.
5. Another cotton pad for the rest of my face or
6. For a cleaner feel, repeat with another cotton pad.
7. Rinse

This takes off my make up and mascara well, without the sting or irritation.
Though, it leaves my sight a little bleary and the product tends to be a little greasy.
Well, nothing too much that a good facial wash can't remove.
I wash my face after using make up remover.
I'ts just me. Nothing beats a fresh feeling of having washed your face with water.

Pros:
1. Removes make up and mascara with ease.
2. Doesn't irritate my eyes.
3. Feels like it moisturize my eye area.

Cons:
1. Runs a little expensive (if you buy it, lucky, I got this for free)
2.I have this thing with the cap, reminds me of medicine bottle for kids
wherein you push down the cap and twist to open. I don't think it's necessary.

Would I buy it again?
Hmm I'm loving this product, it's a little pricey.
I'll buy it though.

And, I'm still looking for a very good make up remover.
This one stands out.

I recommend Clinique take the day off make up remover
though for those who wears heavy make up especially in the eye.
Thumbs up for this product!

Thanks for reading, love!
'Til then!

XO :)

The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover

The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover
Price: P605 (250ml)
Avaiable: The Body Shop Stores

Another make up remover to review today, yay!

The first ever make up remover I used is the Maybelline eye &lip make up remover

While it does the work, it's just fun to go make up and skin care shopping,
so here I got one from my favorite brand,

The Body Shop camomile gentle eye make up remover.

As I wrote from my previous The Body Shop posts
I like the idea that The Body Shop products contained
Community Fair Trade Ingredients.

This make up remover works
the same as other make up removers, put product on a cotton ball or pad,
wipe those make up off.
However it says, gentle eye remover,it stings my eye area a little.
I notice that it is a lotion feel remover and even with 2-3 cotton pad wipes,
it still tend to leave mascara residue.

I guess this is why, having this for quite some time in my vanity table,
I'm yet to use up half of it.

I wouldn't recommend this to those who use mascara,
especially waterproof.
This product won't do the work.

Instead of using this for the eye area,
I use this to remove my face make up and it worked well.

So, would I repurchase this product?

No.

My hunt for the best make up remover is still on! :)

'Til then!

Maybelline Make Up Remover

Maybelline
Eye & Lip Make Up Remover

Price: P119 for a 40ml bottle
Available: Watsons, leading department stores beauty section

For the very long time, all I do to clean my face is cleanse, tone and moisturize.
I just thought that cleansing and toning can get
all the impurities my skin took in after a long day out and
residues that make up products leave.

Well, that's a misconception, especially when
I began wearing long staying make up products, a make up remover is a must.

Well, well, I started small.
Maybelline Eye & Lip Make Up Remover is my first purchase.

from online stock photo

As the bottle says, it 'efficiently removes all waterproof make up'.
Yes it did!
Know the time when you got mascara on and you wash your face,
leaving a black circle around your eyes.
There's the goth face!
Maybelline make up remover will do the trick
of wiping that black stuff that made your eyes look sexy :)
plus it doesn't sting.
It has a very gentle formulation.
Also, if you have a very pigmented lip color on, this product will take it off.

How to use:
with your unwashed, made up face;
1. Shake the bottle well.
2. Put some product, enough to soak a cotton pad.
3. Wipe those mascara and lipstick off! Change cotton pads when needed.
     NO harsh cotton rubbing, please.

Wash your face after the make up removal.

When I feel or see that there are still some residues left,
I use the remover again.
It is gentle enough for me to use twice in removing my make up.

Do I recommend the Maybelline make up remover?

Yes!
A lot of make up removers are available in the market.
And for sure, a whole lot better than Maybelline.
But it doesn't hurt to have one which do the work and doesn't break the bank.

On the next review: The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up remover.

Skin Care Series

Hello loves! A happy new year!

I've been out the orbit for some time.
Been busy with going around town that I don't get to sit much in front of the computer
(unless I play online games, for which I got plenty of time! hahaha).

Hubby and I have been playing this online game for more than 7 years now.
We're veterans of this game!
And comes with age is my expertise in handling my chosen  character,
and we enjoy so much that we tend to forget the time everytime!
At first I played a deadly assassin character.
But I find the mage class, more appealing (look at that beauty hahaha!).

I've been a deadly nuker since then, one of the most feared classes in Tantra.

Oh my, I could go on forever talking about this loved game. So, in other matters...

I've been through my make up phase, and have been hoarding
face and lip palettes for quite sometime.
But lately, I've become more interested with finding a good regimen for my skin.
For the next posts, I'll be talking about some of the
beauty brands and products that I've been using.
Few of my friends been asking me, what I use and
this is a good place to tell, review and share.
Hope, you girls, find this skin care series informative. :) :)

I have a combination oily skin. But I use what I can get my hands into.
So it's a hit or miss for me, but I'm quite loyal to one brand as you can see above :) .

Next post will be about make up remover. Stay tuned!
