Shiseido - Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Night Emulsion

Shiseido - Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Night Emulsion
Price: Php 3100 for 75ml
Available: Shiseido Counters in leading malls

I was lucky to have a sample size of this Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Night Emulsion in a BDJ Box I subscribed for. After using up the 15ml tube, bought the biggest size of 75ml and I've been using it ever since, actually it is almost used up.

A bottle is rather expensive but this last a long time. Six months maybe.

Pump type for ease of use also, sanitary.
It is a night emulsion but I use it day and night for lack of a day cream and the fact that I love how this doesn't feel heavy and acts a s a good moisturizer for the whole day. I'm looking for a skin care line that I could maintain, as we know, as we grow older, lines, skin sagging becomes a problem. I think I found my line in Shiseido Benefiance. Actually this line is for older women, those approaching the 40s but this worked nice on my skin. I like it that unlike other heavy night creams, this is lighter but it still leave the skin smooth by morning. Two ingredients that caught my is the collagen and elastin which is basically what we need for a firmer face.

consistency is light and watery as it is an emulsion
Though watery in consistency, it is very rich and hydrating. One pump is enough for the whole face and this leaves a subtle glow before going to bed. Having an oily skin, I don't wake up with a greasy face when I have this on.  I find this also a good moisturizer under make up.

As I am about to use up my bottle, I'm contemplating on getting the Benefiance line.

The Cost:
Balancing Softener (75ml) – Php2500
Day Emulsion (75ml) – Php3100
Night Emulsion (75ml) – Php3100
Intensive Eye Contour Cream (15ml) – Php2850

You think it's worth it, ladies?

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer (original)

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
Price: Php 1950.00 for 30ml
Available: Beauty Bar

I chanced upon this  foundation primer when my sis-n-law and
I played with our make up :) 'abubots'.
She did my face and used the smashbox photo finish foundation primer, I loved it!
Then, it was on my phone's list to buy, actually it was in all caps, reiterating its importance.

Many call this primer iconic and is often in the best primers list.
This smashbox primer has  fierce loyal following, so much that an entire
range of alternative versions to suit different skin type requirement is launched.

However, the original is second to none.
I swear my skin feels soft, the product feels like silk on the skin and glides on easily.
I love that it is clear so it doesn't alter the color of you skin,
no worry that it would interfere with the shade of your foundation or make up.

Of course, it is a bit pricey.
But the tube is designed so that you wont get extra product than necessary in one squeeze.

I use this small pea size in one side of my face, 2 pumps of this is good for my whole face.
I've been using my tube for more than a year now. But then again, I don't wear make up often and
I'm using up the other primers that I got.

I tried using this alone but it sometimes leave my brow and mouth area a little patchy.
So, before I put this on, I moisturize, wait maybe 5-10 minutes put on the primer,
wait another 5 minutes and put on foundation or just a face powder.
You can even go bare with this one.

This will fill in fine lines and pores for a flawless finish.
I use this under foundation when my niece ask me to do her make up.
After I used this on her, she's been asking me for free make up.
Also, when G have activities which require her face to be made up,
I use this primer and it never fail me.
The outcome is just outstanding. Both in person and in photos.

I just love my Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer,
definitely one of the top products in my vanity kit.

Give it a try ladies!

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Shameless (215)

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Shameless
Price: Php575
Available: Revlon counters at leading malls

I've been wanting a purple lipstick for a few months now but I was always hesitant to buy.
Of course, it's purple! It could be hard to pull off and though it look good on celebrities,
it's a different story when I'll use it. :)

Still, I got the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Shameless and many compared this to MAC Heroine.
Revlon matte balms as its name suggests are lippies which are matte but is moisturizing like a balm.

I love how they come in a thick crayon/pencil form.

But instead of sharpening it, you can twist the silver bottom and voila! It's so convenient.

This color is definitely not for the faint of heart. The color's 'shameless' to boot.
It is a must to exfoliate before using Shameless or you will end up with a patchy lip.
Aside from exfoliating, I put a balm underneath, well,
this one doesn't moisturize like a balm as it claim.
But I love it's minty smell and a little sting when applied, I guess,
that is where the balm claim come in.

I notice the color is slightly on the pink purple side. Coverage is fairly opaque and since my lips has a slight tint already, I guess it altered the color when applied. It is not as purple as when I swatched it in my hand.
After a few hours the slight sheen disappeared but the lip color stayed for 4hours.
I once wore Shameless and layered it with MAC pink pigeon, it stayed for more than 7 hours! I was amazed, even after a heavy meal, my lip is still tinted with a pretty pink purple color.
I then started using shameless under other lippies. I get a long stay lipstick! Ladies, you should try it.

Pros:
1. Comes cheap for a stunning color
2. Buildable and blends well with other lipstick colors
3. Ease of use, pencil like and twistable bottom for
4. Love the minty smell
5. Stays long

Cons:
1. Lip must be prepped every time, need to exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate or lips will all be patchy.

Revlon Matte Balm's a good buy, I won't stop with Shameless, so far I saw 10 colors at the Revlon counter and had my eye on Audacious and Unapologetic.

Til then! :)

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Peach Parfait

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
Price: Php525
Available: Revlon Counters at leading malls

One of hubby's 'pasalubong' when he came home from months long of work,
already reviewed the others here and here.

This is the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait.

As you can see, I already nicked the top of the lippy.
It is due to my complain from the previous Candy Apple post.

a swipe of Peach Parfait
3 swipes of Peach Parfait
The color's beautiful from the tube, peachy brown with glitter.
Had high hopes on this one, however, when I tried it after reapplying,
at the end of the day, I was left with glittery lips after the color wore off.

A very sheer color on my lips. Aside from the glittery feel on my lips, this is a perfect
lippie for me for a no makeup look. I already have a slight pigment on my lips
so it is a perfect way to enhance it without the use of loud color.
But I wouldn't wear this often, I think I'd do if I'm still a sweet 16 :) .
Good to wear to the beach or a plunge in the pool.
Pros:
1. Nice sheer color, buildable.
2. Completely odorless.
3. Last a good 4hours.
4. Cap is color coordinated with lipstick color.
5. Comes cheap.

Cons:
1.Tends to make my lips dry (maybe because of the glitters).
2. Far more glitter than necessary.
3.There isn't much product in the tube.
4. Hard to open tube.

If you want a barely there lipstick with hint of glitter, an ok pick but I wouldn't repurchase.
Although with 20 available colors the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter line,
surely one or two would catch your fancy ;)!

Happy shopping for it, ladies!

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Candy Apple

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Candy Apple
Price: Php525
Available: Revlon Counters at leading malls

I've had this baby at the same time that hubby got me Enchanted Perfume
(that was 7months ago hahaha!) but only get to  open the tubes just now.
Ops! Forgot about them since I was preoccupied with my fave MAC lippies.
Hubby bought the Candy Apple and Peach Parfait.

Checking out the Candy Apple first

Candy Apple is a beautiful soft red in the tube.
I think this shade of red is safe for those who are afraid of
pigmented red and bright colors on their lips.
This color's not as pigmented as Red Velvet which I originally asked from
hubby to buy but was out of stock. Revlon Colorburst Lipbutter's availbale in 20 shades.
single swipe of Candy Apple
Candy Apple felt like a lipstick with lipbalm and gloss, very moisturizing.
Very Sheer, thus buildable. This is nice for those days that
I want to wear red which doesn't shout 'look at me red'.

Almost the same color as in the tube after 3 swipes.

2 swipes of Candy Apple
I like this lipstick since it is very moisturizing, can wear it everyday without the drying feel.
It is cheaper too for Php525.00 each pop.

If you want something which is not too loud, afraid of look at me colors, certainly a good buy.
But if it is pigment you're after, this is a no go.

Pros:
1. Moisturizing. Glides smoothly when applied.
2. Last a good 4 hours (depending on eat/drink habit).
But gloss like sheen fades after a couple of hours.
3. Completely odorless.
4. Cap is color coordinated with lipstick color.
5. Comes cheap.

Cons:
1. There isn't much product in the tube.
2. A pain to open the tube.
I guess this was the reason I didn't open these babies in the first place, I just can't open them fast!
Would I repurchase? Guess not. I'm not that crazy in love with the color to sacrifice the ease of using it. I already nicked Candy Apple. But I'm still practicing how to open this one nice and smooth. Maybe, I'll have the SA teach me how to do it. :)

Ciao, ladies!
XOXO

Coach Boutique Now Open in the Philippines!

Coach have opened it's first boutique in the Philippines at Duty Free Fiestamall.
Aren't we excited ladies!?
Would the days be gone when we used to ask our friends and relatives abroad for Coach goods?

current everyday fave bag
I've been lazy to make blog entries for the past months but not for today!
Well, for one,  my current favorite everyday bag is a Coach sling bag,
I call, ala speedy bandouliere 30.
It's roomy, easy to carry as a hand/shoulder bag or sling (found its sling too short for me to be a body bag). Reasonably priced too, thanks to a friend's sister who got it for me on a discount. Yes, it's a 'padala' from abroad :) and I'm in love with it's versatility.

Since 1942, Coach has built its reputation on quality craftmanship, using luxury materials and innovative finishes to create products as beautiful as they are functional. To this day, every Coach handbag, wallet and accessory is assembled by hand.
--from Coach care instruction :) if I didn't read the care instruction, I wouldn't know this.

"Coach is a global leader in premium handbags and accessories. Building upon a strong brand and business equities. Coach continues to transform from an international accessories to a global lifestyle brand, anchored in accessories, presenting a clear and compelling expression of the Coach woman and man across all product categories." (Boutique Photos credit: Duty Free Philippines)

Aren't you excited when an internationally known brand opens it's store in our country? I am! I know some of the ladies will be checking it out soon!
