Always SOLD OUT

Hey, loves!

Time flies when you're having fun, busy, or when you're just simply getting old. Haha!
It's July, and it's my birthday month!

Of course, birthday is equal to gifts.
That makes everything better than to equate birthdays with ageing.
This year, I got my eyes set on something that seems impossible to get.
For few months now, I thought the bag addict in me's rehabilitated.
But I saw this bag and there it is, a thud in my heart!
They say it's the bag that's harder to get than Hermes in the Philippines.
Usually it's sold out too online.

Presenting, the Mansur Gavriel.

The brand is founded by New York based designers Racherl Mansur and Floriana Gavriel.
There are styles to choose from and each is so t
temptingly good but I got my eyes set on the bucket bag.

Since it's also impossible to get one of these online, it was a big happy thought that Mansur Gavriel is now available in the Philippines (at least their brand's signature totes and buckets).

As for me, I'm still saving for my Mansur Gavriel :)

Torn between these two.

Mansur Gavriel totes and bag, you can get them here:

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
Price:   Php 1900 (100ml)
Available: Rustan's
                  Clinique Sm Mall of Asia

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
Hey girls! Today, I'll talk about a much loved moisturizer. This is my 2nd bottle, and if I repeat buy, it only means I have good praises for a product (obviously). I love this moisturizer so much that just halfway through my first bottle, I bought another one.

I have oily, acne prone skin and usually, stuff that I put in my face clog my pores, but not this one. The gel doesn't feel that I over moisturize, it is absorbed very quickly and does not leave a greasy feel. I feel moisturized and I can feel the difference product does on my face. I must also mention that I use this to moisturize hubby and I hear no complain.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

As we girls should know, the basic skincare for our face is to cleanse, tone and moisturize. I stick to that but of course, as we grow older, we can add that eye firming serum, brown spot corrector, night repairs... etc. etc...

For this product, make sure that you cleanse your skin, find that perfect facial wash, I am still in that process; after washing your face, use a toner. This will make your skin feel more tight and clean. Finally, use a moisturizer. As I prefer the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel, I have days where I put on a different product to target problem areas. Like on week ends I use Le weekend De Chanel and at some nights, I use the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair.

It's really up to you to choose a perfect combination of products that will work and deliver the best result.

On a side note, the SA, as usual gave me samples. Isn't it fun!?
The last time they gave me toners in travel size.

So, do I suggest to buy the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel?
Yup! I am already a fan!

Oh, be sure to ask the sales assistant what would suit you,
since this also come in lotion type.

Pros:
1. Absorbed by the skin quickly.
2. Feels light, no greasy feel.
3. Moisturizes my skin big time, skin feels softer and smoother.
4. Fragrance free.
5. Comes in pump form, easy, controlled use of product.

Cons
1. Pricey (?) but you get your money's worth.

'Til then!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair
Mall Price: P5,300
Availble : Rustan's

internet stock photo
The perks of not getting younger, we get to know and try products that have been there,
bestsellers, but we haven't known before.
Let's not use 'getting old', ok! :)

Let's focus to the bright side of not getting younger.

Until my late 20s, I haven't really think much about my skin. Aren't young skin magical?

In our 20s, we used to stay up late, party for 3 consecutive days, eat whatever we want...
and in the morning (or noon) when we wake up,
we still have that supple, healthy glow veil in our face.
But that really changes, I tell you.
Along with how much energy we have in doing all nighters party and rendezvous,
that elastic and easily rejuvenates skin slows down its work.

So here we are, in our 30s and looking for some miracle in a bottle.

My sis-n-law and I have one shopping spree we couldn't forget!
It really is awesome having a girlfriend in your shopping trip, it's double the fun.
We hoarded skincare needs, did mall rounds, sample some Greek food and
lounged around, people watching (bag spying that is!),
oh we checked out the new casino in town,
just marveled at how the place smelled good haha!.
Simple pleasures...

We took home some serious finds, like the Chanel Le Weekend, the Clinique Dramatically Different  Moisturizing Gel, eye cream, some lippies
and this, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair.
I say, this is one of my favorite finds in that trip.
The one's we bought is said to be an upgrade version
of the old one which they say sells one bottle every 8.5 second.
Oh wow! Did't know that before we pick one.
But aren't that some kind of an assurance?

advanced night repair

Although i find the bottle so medicine like with it's dropper,
it really do look nice and the dropper is superb for hygienic purposes.

This is to be used at night time on a clean skin before your moisturizer.

But really, I use this alone and still wake up with a smoother, hydrated skin.
I think I will be sticking to this miracle in a bottle for a while.

Pros:
1. Makes skin immediately plump and hydrated.
2. Makes skin radiant and brighter.
3.Not harsh, no stinging sensation.
4. A little goes a long way.

Cons:
1. Pricey (?)

I'm partial to this since you use it at night time, once a day.
So, the 50ml bottle would last me a good 4 months.
And you get what you pay for.

So are you convinced yet?
Thanks for dropping by, dolls!

'Til then!

XO :)

Le Weekend De Chanel

Chanel Le Weekend
Price: P5,450 (50ml)
Available: Rustan's

Chanel Le Weekend is a part of trinity of Chanel serums; Le Jour, La Nuit et Le Weekend.

internet stock photo
Le Jour is to be used every morning, La Nuit at night, and Le Weekend as the name sugest, every weekend. Since I have my routine of moisturizers, and the fact that I don't want to break the bank with the 3 purchase, I got me a Chanel Le Weekend. It is supposed to be used on weekends. But my weekend falls on any two days of the week. Hey, no one's checking anyway haha!

Le weekend should not be used near the eye area and must be used as a single serum. No other serum but this on your weekend. However, this product gave me a few breakouts on the first few weeks. But I gave it another month for a chance and surprisingly, no more breakouts! It left my skin so soft to the touch and looked renewed in the morning. I even sneaked in a few use on some days. When I use Le weekend, I don't have the feel to put on any make up. I get a natural glow.

Le weekend is milky, I use two pumps every time, which leave my skin silky.

Chanel Le Weekend bottle is understated but is beautiful.
Designed to be displayed and not hidden away.

So, with a hefty price tag, would I buy it again? Yes, coz #cocomademedoit !

And if you could splurge, this is one product to try, or at least ask a sample first before buying. :) :)

Thanks for dropping by, loves!

'Til then!

XO :)

Clinique Take The Day Off Make Up Remover

Clinique
take the day off
make up remover
for lids, lashes &lips

Price:         P1,300 for a 125 ml bottle
Available: Rustans
                 Clinique SM Mall of Asia

stock photo
Dissolves and "lifts away: long-wearing make up, even waterproof mascara.
Non-irritating, non-stinging.

I got this free from a generous friend who would give me
imported 'abubot' from make up such as lipstick,
lip gloss, eye shadow; the likes..to pants, shirts, G's shoes and bags.
Such a generous friend! I thank thee!

I've been a Clinique fan for quite a while, they have a marvelous moisturizer,
which I will review on the next posts.
And this one product got another vote for me.
It definitely does what it says.
I take my make up off effortlessly, especially the stubborn mascara.

(Which by the way, I don't use often. I'd buy a mascara,
and would use it a few times and forget about it, only to discover it's all dried up, ugh!)
What I do when I use this to remove my mascara:

1. Shake the bottle ('coz it says so hehe)
2. Soak a cotton pad (it doens't take much product to do so).
3. Close eyes and hold the cotton pad for 20 seconds.
4. Move the cotton pad on your lashes, repeat on the other eye.
5. Another cotton pad for the rest of my face or
6. For a cleaner feel, repeat with another cotton pad.
7. Rinse

This takes off my make up and mascara well, without the sting or irritation.
Though, it leaves my sight a little bleary and the product tends to be a little greasy.
Well, nothing too much that a good facial wash can't remove.
I wash my face after using make up remover.
I'ts just me. Nothing beats a fresh feeling of having washed your face with water.

Pros:
1. Removes make up and mascara with ease.
2. Doesn't irritate my eyes.
3. Feels like it moisturize my eye area.

Cons:
1. Runs a little expensive (if you buy it, lucky, I got this for free)
2.I have this thing with the cap, reminds me of medicine bottle for kids
wherein you push down the cap and twist to open. I don't think it's necessary.

Would I buy it again?
Hmm I'm loving this product, it's a little pricey.
I'll buy it though.

And, I'm still looking for a very good make up remover.
This one stands out.

I recommend Clinique take the day off make up remover
though for those who wears heavy make up especially in the eye.
Thumbs up for this product!

Thanks for reading, love!
'Til then!

The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover

The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover
Price: P605 (250ml)
Avaiable: The Body Shop Stores

Another make up remover to review today, yay!

The first ever make up remover I used is the Maybelline eye &lip make up remover

While it does the work, it's just fun to go make up and skin care shopping,
so here I got one from my favorite brand,

The Body Shop camomile gentle eye make up remover.

As I wrote from my previous The Body Shop posts
I like the idea that The Body Shop products contained
Community Fair Trade Ingredients.

This make up remover works
the same as other make up removers, put product on a cotton ball or pad,
wipe those make up off.
However it says, gentle eye remover,it stings my eye area a little.
I notice that it is a lotion feel remover and even with 2-3 cotton pad wipes,
it still tend to leave mascara residue.

I guess this is why, having this for quite some time in my vanity table,
I'm yet to use up half of it.

I wouldn't recommend this to those who use mascara,
especially waterproof.
This product won't do the work.

Instead of using this for the eye area,
I use this to remove my face make up and it worked well.

So, would I repurchase this product?

No.

My hunt for the best make up remover is still on! :)

'Til then!

Maybelline Make Up Remover

Maybelline
Eye & Lip Make Up Remover

Price: P119 for a 40ml bottle
Available: Watsons, leading department stores beauty section

For the very long time, all I do to clean my face is cleanse, tone and moisturize.
I just thought that cleansing and toning can get
all the impurities my skin took in after a long day out and
residues that make up products leave.

Well, that's a misconception, especially when
I began wearing long staying make up products, a make up remover is a must.

Well, well, I started small.
Maybelline Eye & Lip Make Up Remover is my first purchase.

from online stock photo

As the bottle says, it 'efficiently removes all waterproof make up'.
Yes it did!
Know the time when you got mascara on and you wash your face,
leaving a black circle around your eyes.
There's the goth face!
Maybelline make up remover will do the trick
of wiping that black stuff that made your eyes look sexy :)
plus it doesn't sting.
It has a very gentle formulation.
Also, if you have a very pigmented lip color on, this product will take it off.

How to use:
with your unwashed, made up face;
1. Shake the bottle well.
2. Put some product, enough to soak a cotton pad.
3. Wipe those mascara and lipstick off! Change cotton pads when needed.
     NO harsh cotton rubbing, please.

Wash your face after the make up removal.

When I feel or see that there are still some residues left,
I use the remover again.
It is gentle enough for me to use twice in removing my make up.

Do I recommend the Maybelline make up remover?

Yes!
A lot of make up removers are available in the market.
And for sure, a whole lot better than Maybelline.
But it doesn't hurt to have one which do the work and doesn't break the bank.

Skin Care Series

Hello loves! A happy new year!

I've been out the orbit for some time.
Been busy with going around town that I don't get to sit much in front of the computer
(unless I play online games, for which I got plenty of time! hahaha).

Hubby and I have been playing this online game for more than 7 years now.
We're veterans of this game!
And comes with age is my expertise in handling my chosen  character,
and we enjoy so much that we tend to forget the time everytime!
At first I played a deadly assassin character.
But I find the mage class, more appealing (look at that beauty hahaha!).

I've been a deadly nuker since then, one of the most feared classes in Tantra.

Oh my, I could go on forever talking about this loved game. So, in other matters...

I've been through my make up phase, and have been hoarding
face and lip palettes for quite sometime.
But lately, I've become more interested with finding a good regimen for my skin.
For the next posts, I'll be talking about some of the
beauty brands and products that I've been using.
Few of my friends been asking me, what I use and
this is a good place to tell, review and share.
Hope, you girls, find this skin care series informative. :) :)

I have a combination oily skin. But I use what I can get my hands into.
So it's a hit or miss for me, but I'm quite loyal to one brand as you can see above :) .

Next post will be about make up remover. Stay tuned!

Guerlain Rouge Automatique Lipstick 143 Nahema

Guerlain Nahema Lipstick
Guerlain Rouge Automatique Lipstick in Nahema (143)
Mall Price: P2200.00
Available: Guerlain Counters in Rustan's Dept. Store
Finish: Glossy sheen

So, when hubby's on his 2 day travel to come home,
he had 4 plane flights and 3 duty free stores along the way.
I was keen on not asking for anything, saying,
I'll just have my shopping list ready when he's home,
and we'd buy at the mall. I missed mall make up shopping.

So when he asked his sister to call me and wake me up at 1am for duty free 'pasalubong',
I was not prepared!
My SOP when I want something is I'd give him the exact name
of the make up or perfume that I want,
exact location of where he could find it,
down to which floor and what other stores are nearby so he can easily locate it.

I was a little groggy and I just asked for MAC and a Killer Queen perfume
but both are not available.
I asked him to tell me what make up counters he see, and alas, there's Guerlain!
I was a little hesitant but asked for 142 rouge automatique and of course,
as it is one of the best sellers,
it's not available. With a hefty price tag, I told him I'd just buy MAC since
1 guerlain lippy would be 2 and 1/2 of MAC haha!
But he insisted, so what could a weak lipstick girl like me can do but to oblige.
Asked him to buy just 1, as it will be my most expensive lipstick.

Boy, it felt like christmas when DH handed me the 3piece pack of Guerlain lipstick.

All the pretty colors!

The 3 piece pack came with a La Petite Robe Noire Eau De Toilette 5mlsampler.
The bottle is so simple but nice, with a little black dress. Hmm aren't LBD a Chanel thing?
It has a strong cherry smell, young, fun and sweet!
Definitely want to have a bigger bottle in the future! :)

That was a long intro, on with the nahema review; I love this lipstick!
Found another brand I could obsess about.

The luxurious gold case has a slide mechanism making this lipstick
truly a one hand application ordeal.

This Guerlain lippy doesn't come with a separate cap,
but the square top opens to reveal the lipstick as it slide up.
How lovely is that!? Even G, approve, she asked several times to play with it,
I draw the line at 3 tries haha!

Nahema is a lovely pink-coral with a glossy sheen finish and shimmer.
What have stopped me from buying this lippy is it's price but I'm glad that finally,
I get to have a Guerlain. Though it's a splurge, it definitely pay off.
It is a beautiful color for the summer,
it looks fresh and feels lightweight when applied.
This moisturizes my lips big time. It glides beautifully without a problem.
Although the coverage is not as opaque as MAC's, it is in a different league,
Nahema is more on the softer, muted side, it leaves my lips moisturized for 4 hours.
Not a long staying lippy but, reapplying is just a s fun!

On my lips on its own, without a liner or balm.
Nahema have a very nice pigment though it doesn't mask the whole color of your lips.
With 3 glide application, it gives a very fresh coral coverage.

I love this lipstick to pieces, especially that it's a gift from hubby ;)
I certainly have trained him well to buy the good stuff! LOL

Would you splurge for a lippy?
