Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
Price:   Php 1900 (100ml)
Available: Rustan's
                  Clinique Sm Mall of Asia

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
Hey girls! Today, I'll talk about a much loved moisturizer. This is my 2nd bottle, and if I repeat buy, it only means I have good praises for a product (obviously). I love this moisturizer so much that just halfway through my first bottle, I bought another one.

I have oily, acne prone skin and usually, stuff that I put in my face clog my pores, but not this one. The gel doesn't feel that I over moisturize, it is absorbed very quickly and does not leave a greasy feel. I feel moisturized and I can feel the difference product does on my face. I must also mention that I use this to moisturize hubby and I hear no complain.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

As we girls should know, the basic skincare for our face is to cleanse, tone and moisturize. I stick to that but of course, as we grow older, we can add that eye firming serum, brown spot corrector, night repairs... etc. etc...

For this product, make sure that you cleanse your skin, find that perfect facial wash, I am still in that process; after washing your face, use a toner. This will make your skin feel more tight and clean. Finally, use a moisturizer. As I prefer the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel, I have days where I put on a different product to target problem areas. Like on week ends I use Le weekend De Chanel and at some nights, I use the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair.

It's really up to you to choose a perfect combination of products that will work and deliver the best result.

On a side note, the SA, as usual gave me samples. Isn't it fun!?
The last time they gave me toners in travel size.

So, do I suggest to buy the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel?
Yup! I am already a fan!

Oh, be sure to ask the sales assistant what would suit you,
since this also come in lotion type.

Pros:
1. Absorbed by the skin quickly.
2. Feels light, no greasy feel.
3. Moisturizes my skin big time, skin feels softer and smoother.
4. Fragrance free.
5. Comes in pump form, easy, controlled use of product.

Cons
1. Pricey (?) but you get your money's worth.

'Til then!

Guerlain Rouge Automatique Lipstick 143 Nahema

Guerlain Nahema Lipstick
Guerlain Rouge Automatique Lipstick in Nahema (143)
Mall Price: P2200.00
Available: Guerlain Counters in Rustan's Dept. Store
Finish: Glossy sheen

So, when hubby's on his 2 day travel to come home,
he had 4 plane flights and 3 duty free stores along the way.
I was keen on not asking for anything, saying,
I'll just have my shopping list ready when he's home,
and we'd buy at the mall. I missed mall make up shopping.

So when he asked his sister to call me and wake me up at 1am for duty free 'pasalubong',
I was not prepared!
My SOP when I want something is I'd give him the exact name
of the make up or perfume that I want,
exact location of where he could find it,
down to which floor and what other stores are nearby so he can easily locate it.

I was a little groggy and I just asked for MAC and a Killer Queen perfume
but both are not available.
I asked him to tell me what make up counters he see, and alas, there's Guerlain!
I was a little hesitant but asked for 142 rouge automatique and of course,
as it is one of the best sellers,
it's not available. With a hefty price tag, I told him I'd just buy MAC since
1 guerlain lippy would be 2 and 1/2 of MAC haha!
But he insisted, so what could a weak lipstick girl like me can do but to oblige.
Asked him to buy just 1, as it will be my most expensive lipstick.

Boy, it felt like christmas when DH handed me the 3piece pack of Guerlain lipstick.

All the pretty colors!

The 3 piece pack came with a La Petite Robe Noire Eau De Toilette 5mlsampler.
The bottle is so simple but nice, with a little black dress. Hmm aren't LBD a Chanel thing?
It has a strong cherry smell, young, fun and sweet!
Definitely want to have a bigger bottle in the future! :)

That was a long intro, on with the nahema review; I love this lipstick!
Found another brand I could obsess about.

The luxurious gold case has a slide mechanism making this lipstick
truly a one hand application ordeal.

This Guerlain lippy doesn't come with a separate cap,
but the square top opens to reveal the lipstick as it slide up.
How lovely is that!? Even G, approve, she asked several times to play with it,
I draw the line at 3 tries haha!

Nahema is a lovely pink-coral with a glossy sheen finish and shimmer.
What have stopped me from buying this lippy is it's price but I'm glad that finally,
I get to have a Guerlain. Though it's a splurge, it definitely pay off.
It is a beautiful color for the summer,
it looks fresh and feels lightweight when applied.
This moisturizes my lips big time. It glides beautifully without a problem.
Although the coverage is not as opaque as MAC's, it is in a different league,
Nahema is more on the softer, muted side, it leaves my lips moisturized for 4 hours.
Not a long staying lippy but, reapplying is just a s fun!

On my lips on its own, without a liner or balm.
Nahema have a very nice pigment though it doesn't mask the whole color of your lips.
With 3 glide application, it gives a very fresh coral coverage.

I love this lipstick to pieces, especially that it's a gift from hubby ;)
I certainly have trained him well to buy the good stuff! LOL

Would you splurge for a lippy?

'Til then!

MAC Girl About Town

Girl About Town On Kim Kardashian

MAC Girl About Town
Price: around Php1000
Available in MAC counters: SM MOA, New Eastwood Mall, Trinoma,

Glorietta 2, Powerplant Mall, Ayala Center Cebu
Finish: Amplified Creamy

the black bullet

Girl About Town (GAT) is another cult product from MAC and perhaps
you've heard or been using this beautiful darkened fuchsia colored lippy.
It is one of MAC's best seller. Again this is blue based.
And we know that blue based lipstick flatter a lot.

bright fuchsia pink swatch
GAT is part of the Amplified range, the best MAC formula for me. It is completely opaque and you could go for a swipe or 2. It perfectly hydrate my lips and  does not dry out. Even though it is creamy, I didn't have problems with feathering and bleeding. I also love love how it leaves a bright fuchsia tint on my lips after 5 hours of staying power.
This formula transfer though. When eating, I see the color transfer to my food or utensils when it touch my beautifuly colored lips. :)

a swipe of girl about town

2 swipes of girl about town
What I love about this shade is you can layer it but the color goes deep and won't go over the top. It is a bright fuchsia but doesn't come off neon like with every swipe.

GAT is my favorite to go pink shade lipstick. I could never go wrong wearing this color.

Pros:
1. Amplified finish with a creamy texture. Applies smoothly without dragging.
2. Bright blue based which flatter different complexions. An instant face brightener.
3. Long staying power of 5hours.
4. Does not dry out lips or emphasize lines.
5. Comes in the usual black bullet packaging with vanilla scent.

Cons:
None! It's one of my favorite from MAC.

Maybe you'd want a more matte pink lippy, check out the MAC Pink Pigeon.

I say this color is a must have, ladies!

'Til then :)

MAC Pink Pigeon

MAC Iris Apfel Collection in Pink Pigeon

MAC PINK PIGEON
Price: around Php1000
Available in MAC counters: SM MOA, New Eastwood Mall, Trinoma,

Glorietta 2, Powerplant Mall, Ayala Center Cebu
Finish: Matte

MAC Pink Pigeon is a part of the MAC Iris Apfel collection.

Pink Pigeon, 2nd from right.

As described, Pink Pigeon is a bright cleanest pink.
It is blue based.
I like blue based lipstick, they certainly flatter.
One of which I love is the limited edition MAC Pink Pigeon.
As it is limited, it is mostly out of stock in malls as they are snapped up fast especially in such a pretty color. Good thing, I got mine reserved from a trusted supplier.
I've had Pink Pigeon for a few months now and I've been using it non stop.
It is my 2nd favorite pink lipstick, next to Girl About Town.

It is very pigmented and 2 swipes, your lips would be screaming 'hot pink'.
But as other MAC lipstick, it is still very flattering.
I guess, this color is best for those who are fair skinned.
Another thing I love about it is it gives different color depending on the light.

Because it's a matte finish, it could be drying at times. BUT it doesn't drag when applied.
Because it stays for a god 5-6 hours,
you'd be left with flaky lips
if you don't exfoliate and moisturize your lips well.
Although it doesn't feel dry or heavy.

2 swipes and it is a pretty color like in the tube

I think this color is the brightest I got in my stash.
It is near to Candy Yum Yum's pigment, but a notch less brighter.
So, when I'll have Candy Yum Yum, it will reign as the brightest on my lipstick collection!

1 swipe of pink pigeon on outdoor light

Pros:
1. Very pigmented. Even and vivid coverage with one application.
2. Doesn't drag when applied despite the matte finish.
3. Lasts long. Will last for hours, minimal fading, little to no retouching for hours; thus
4. Ok price for a high quality cosmetic.
5. Vanilla smell, yum!

Cons:
1. Availability as it is limited.

Til then, lovelies!

MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick

MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick is retro-matte and part of MAC's permanent line.

MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick

Price: around Php1000
Available in MAC counters: SM MOA, New Eastwood Mall, Trinoma,
Glorietta 2, Powerplant Mall, Ayala Center Cebu
Finish: Retro-Matte

As I'm halfway on my Russian Red, I wanted to repurchase but I remembered that
I also wanted Ruby Woo at the time that I got the Russian Red.
So, I went ahead and bought this instead for a try.

Another thing I like about MAC lipstick is it's simple bullet like tube.

Because Ruby Woo is a retro-matte finish, it is super matte. It could easily dry out on the lips. What I do when I use this is to exfoliate my lips first and apply a lip balm for base. At first, I really have a hard time applying this lippy, it wouldn't glide that I rather use Russian Red. But hey, I always try to like what I buy, after all this purchase is a bit pricey. Other trick I do is layer on top some lip gloss, the color is beautiful.

One application doesn't do it for me, Ruby Woo is not as pigmented as Russian Red.
Or maybe I'm just afraid to swipe harder, afraid I might break it tsk.

On my lips on it's own. Ugh! I really had a hard time applying this lipstick the first time. But see, how matte it is, looks like I used a lip pencil. Two more strokes and the color really popped beautifully!

Pros:
1. Pigmented. As I learned to prep my lips with a good moisturizer or lip balm; this gives good coverage in one swipe.
2. Long staying power. Though it makes fine lines on the lips visible and becomes dryer every passing hour, this definitely is the longest wearing lipstick in my list.
3. Super matte finish. Doesn't bleed or transfer. (hubby noted it too)
4. Vanilla scent.
5. It could easily brighten up your face!
6. Versatile. You could make it sheer with one swipe, then bold with one more.

Cons:
1. Yes, a little pricey. But you get what you pay for, I'm partial on this aspect. :)
2. Could be very drying.

Tips:
It's a must to exfoliate the lips and prep it with a good moisturizer or balm.

Because of the beautiful color and it's very long staying power, I'm willing to overlook
Ruby Woo's flaw being so dry as a desert!
This is another must have red lipstick if you could just be patient on application and lip prep.

Would you purchase this, lovelies?
XOXO

MAC Lady Danger Lipstick

MAC Lady Danger Lipstick

Price: around Php1000
Available in MAC counters: SM MOA, New Eastwood Mall, Trinoma,
Glorietta 2, Powerplant Mall, Ayala Center Cebu
Finish: Matte

I am so in love with this lipstick right now! Even before I got this, I was already a fan of it's name alone. My hubby and I play an online game and I would name my character 'LadyDanger'.
He liked it too, so I go on explaining where I got the name then moments later,
informed him that I should get the Lady Danger lipstick. 'Style!' haha

all sweaty, fresh from the box :)
I love its orangey red tone. It actually is orange when I put it on, on some it has a hint of red,
but on me, totally orange.

See. It looked like I swatched a Morange.

Lady Danger is one of those cult products which I'm sure most of
you already heard about or maybe using.
But it doesn't get much hype as the other reds, Ruby Woo and Russian Red
I'll compare the three shades next time.

in natural light, i still don't have the courage to put up my mug shot haha

I so love Lady Danger because it reminded me of an orange lippy I got way back in college. It was a hand me down from my sister, I was literally scraping the tube because I like the color a lot, the tube was already faded so no way for me to know what I'm wearing plus I'm actually a late bloomer
on the make up section.
I didn't care what I wear
back then haha!

This color is adorable! Even hubby approve, he never fail to notice when I have Lady Danger on. I actually get compliments not on the lip color alone, friends would notice how it brighten my face and how I look fresh. Apart from that, another important thing is it is not drying, it is as moisturizing as Russian Red even though it's a matte finish.

5 hours after, had light snack, no retouch
Lady Danger stays on for a good 5 hours. I don't know how the color turned a pretty pink on my lips at the end of the day, maybe it's because of the lighting. Just to show you ladies,
the staying power of  this lipstick.

I so adore Lady Danger. It has a good vanilla smell, not drying, has a good staying power, a very flattering shade for my skin tone. MAC truly knows how to make good lipstick!
My heaven in a bullet tube ;) I can't ask for more!

I recommend Lady Danger if you like orange toned lip color and
if you don't mind your lips stealing the show!

MAC Russian Red Lipstick

MAC Russian Red Lipstick.

Price: around Php1000.00
Available in MAC counters: SM MOA, New Eastwood Mall, Trinoma,
Glorietta 2, Powerplant Mall, Ayala Center Cebu
Finish: Matte

This is the MAC lipstick that started it all, my love of the brand, that is.
This is also, my very first MAC lipstick purchase after reading lots of praises and gushes.

A classic red lipstick is a must have for us ladies, and this one is my classic. I've been using the Russian Red religiously for the past months. And it didn't disappoint me at anytime. It brightens up my face, and gives me that made up look even if it's just the lipstick that I have on.
A real stand-out-from-the-crowd color which will get you noticed.
This is my ultimate favorite red lipstick, promise!

Russia Red pulls a blue-based red on most skin tones, very flattering.
It was launched way back in the 80's. Celebrities like Gwen Stefani, Scarlett Johansson,
Christina Aguilera and Dita Von Teese, have sworn their love for this gorgeous lippy.
And I swore mine too! An absolute staple to my expanding MAC collection.

My often used and 'abused' Russian Red :)

Pros:
1. Very pigmented. Even and vivid coverage with one application.
2. Creamy and moisturizing, glides easily when applied despite the matte finish.
3. Lasts long. Will last for hours, minimal fading, little to no retouching for hours; thus
4. Ok price for a high quality cosmetic.
5. Vanilla smell, yum!

Cons:
I love this product! The only con is, when hubby wants a kiss he hesitates, this definitely transfers hahaha!

I say, this is a must have red lipstick for us lovelies!
XOXO
